Ghosts in the Snow* is a post-rock band based out of Providence, RI that was originally started as the project of lead singer/guitarist Drew Christensen. In the summer of 2017, Drew started playing with drummer Carlos Molina when he came on board to track drums for the debut GitS album. The musical and stylistic mix was such a good fit they started performing as a duo and played their first show in December 2017. Bassist Eric Humphrey joined the band in Fall 2018 and got up to speed in time to play with the band at a show in late November. They are now playing consistently as a trio in support of their debut album “Lifted” (Official release date April 26, 2019).
Intricate guitar work, tightly layered instrumentation, and percussive dynamics all contribute to the overall post-rock feel with an underlying math rock influence. Some of their biggest influences include the Foo Fighters, Minus the Bear, Chon, The National, TTNG, Jimmy Eat World, Cloud Nothings, Caspian, The Dear Hunter, the Avett Brothers, Manchester Orchestra, Coheed and Cambria, and Receiving End of Sirens.
